Construction[]
The construction of the tram is derived directly from the Tatra T3, and this is actually his articulated, two-section version. Like its predecessor - Tatra K1 - K2 is a compound, articulated, one-way tram, equipped with four folding doors. Box are mounted on three-axle bogies (two extreme fuel, central rolling), which can be adapted to gauge 1435 mm and 1000 mm. Tram is a series of electrical equipment start-up resistance UA12. A tram hasnt got a low floor. Positioned inside the seat of the laminate in a 2 +1 arrangement.

K2[]
The prototype was produced in 1966 and started test runs in Prague. Then he operated until 1968 in Bridge, and then in Brno. The second prototype was sold to Novosibirsk. Total produced 231 copies of this version and it was earmarked for the cities of Czechoslovakia: Bratislava, Brno and Ostrava. During the operation of vehicles shall have been upgrades (for example, is currently in Ostrava, all vehicles have been upgraded), and so modified cars also received a new designation:

Also retained a number of trams with original furnishings and historic cars of this type are in the Czech Republic in the Technical Museum in Brno (no. 1095) and Ostrava (No. 804) and Slovakia in Bratislava, Slovakia (No. 317).
K2SU[]
This version was intended for cities of the USSR and in total 246 units delivered to the cities: Kharkiv, Kuibyshev, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Sverdlovsk, Tula, and Ufa. Currently, cars in this series are no longer operated, and is the only active car No 801 from Ekaterinburg (formerly Sverdlovsk) in 1998 reclassified the history.
K2YU[]
K2YU version is designed for Sarajevo in what was then Yugoslavia, and differed from the basic version of the details. Delivered 90 wagons. Currently, they are subjected to comprehensive upgrades, and labeled as Satram. 20 vehicles operated K2YU is also in Brno, Ostrava and Bratislava.
Modernization of wagons[]
K3R-N[]
Version K3R-N (also denoted as K3R.N) is far-reaching modification of tram Tatra K2. Modernization of the company held Sumperk Pars Nova, and it includes inserting the middle section of the low-floor, installation of electrical equipment TV Progress, mid-term of the pantograph, changing appearance and interior refurbishment. However, modernization has not included the exchange of the door. Modernized in the years 2002 - 2004 Two wagons are exploited in Brno.
Satra II[]
Supplied in quantities of 25 pieces based on the updated wagons two-piece box of the car K2YU. Modernization made the company the company Pars nova as were inside the tram (including cabin motorniczego), installed new doors and changed his forehead odskokowe car. Satra III[]
